You can do it! You can grow your own food!

I want to give a hugely optimistic shout out to all of you out there who are secretly and maybe unknowingly a farmer!  I know I am! Do I do anything about it? Well, I am trying! This last week my husband and I (actually just my husband) grew us a huge tray of sunflower greens. He started half the tray then a couple days later started the rest of it. We were literally having sunflower salads everyday, some experimental sunflower juice and sunflower shakes every other day. I looked at the tray today and more is still growing. It was really quite amazing!  All created from 8 oz of organic sunflower seeds and some soil. they are super delicious! It got me thinking of how cool it is to grow something that you can eat.  There must be a secret farmer is in every one of us. I don't think I have every been so excited about my job of getting seeds into the hands of hundreds of people a day!
